Sometimes the most unlikely friendships are the most meaningful.
This is an independent short film about a grieving father who strikes an unlikely friendship with a creative young girl. The script was written by Zuri Gilbert, a 12-year old aspiring filmmaker. The deal is simple, if Zuri does the necessary pre-production work with the assistance of her Uncle Corey, then he and her dad, Curtis, will work hard to produce the film, and ensure it sees the screen.
We (Curtis and Corey) are lucky enough to have the film equipment and other resources, donated from our production company, p3 mediaworks. However, we need your help to fund the most important and difficult aspect – paying the cast, crew and editors for their talents, skills, and hard work. Making a film, even a short film, takes many people and a ton of time. Your contribution goes to compensating the long list of individuals who committed to the project.
For your support, we have a few fun and interesting giveaways, all inspired by the film and created by Zuri’s sister Jeannette. But most of all, know your contribution helps fulfill Zuri’s dream of seeing her first story come to life.

Your support provides a young filmmaker the opportunity to learn directly from professionals in the industry and begin her lifelong journey of making movies. You are also bringing to life a story about loss, healing, and the power of the human heart.
